Cylinder Block

  • Only Premium cores are used.
  • Thermo-cleaned, shot blasted, wet magna-fluxed, resurfaced as required.
Vulcan Factory Remanufactured Gasoline 350ci

Cylinders

  • All cylinders bored and micro finish honed using state of the art Sunnen equipment.

Crankshaft

  • Straightened.
  • Thermo-cleaned, shot blasted.
  • Ground, oil holes chamfered, micro polished, bolt holes tapped.
  • Seal surface dressed or sleeved if required, final cleaning with rifle brushes and compressed air.

Connecting Rods

  • Washed, shot blasted, checked for bend or twist and straightened, caps flat surfaced, resized, pins re-bushed and cut as required.
  • Checked for correct weight in matched sets.

Cylinder Heads

  • Cast iron heads thermo-cleaned, shot blasted, wet process magna-fluxed.
  • Aluminum heads cleaned, 3 stage dye checked and pressure tested for cracks, heated and straightened as required.
  • Resurfaced by milling as required.
  • Surface refinished by Anderson liquid cooled belt resurfacer.
  • Valve guide holes machined out and re-centered, new bronze alloy liners or O.E.M. cast guides pressed in, reamed and micro finish honed, top and bottom of guide finish cut.
  • Intake valve seats single carbide 3 angle cut.
  • Exhaust valve seats replaced as required, single carbide 3 angle cut.
  • Each valve/port low vacuum checked.

Assembly Line

  • QS 9000 assembly line processes, including tolerances’ proofing, full time quality control staff.

Testing

  • Integrity vacuum test of cylinder heads and long block assemblies.
  • Compression verification.
  • Electrical “Sim Test”, including visual movement inspection, hot oil pressure and oil leak down verification at various speeds, peak-load Simulation.
  • Complete hot run full load dynamometer testing with print out results optional.
  • Final inspection, packaged with Marine gasket set.
